CDS-SD
/ CW-R Cascade Drop Slide,
Static
Dwell Checkweigh with Reject
EXPRESS SYSTEM 650 SEQUENCE OF OPERATION
|
|
| |
|
|
| |
The CDS-SD / CW-R can generally be described as a sequence of three in-line
chutes. First is a short Infeed Chute. Second is the Scale Chute. Third
is the Discharge / Reject Chute.
|
|
| |
- The product transfers from user's existing infeed, and slides down
the Infeed Chute, which funnels to the Scale Chute.
- As the
product slides onto the Scale Chute, it is captured by a pneumatically
operated gate.
- Immediately
upon capture on the Scale Chute, the product's weight stabilizes, and
is classified as either Under, OK, or Over (by the Express-System
#602 instrumentation).
- The pneumatically operated Scale Chute gate lifts, allowing the product
to slide under the gate and (if classified as OK) slide down the Discharge
/ Reject Chute and off the end of the system.
a. If
the product was classified as a reject, the Discharge / Reject Chute
is pneumatically operated so that the product will slide from the
Scale Chute and then under the Discharge / Reject Chute. Thus, this
creates "drop-gate" reject, with the product falling into a reject
container or other take-away conveyance.

Because
the product is weighed "static", higher accuracy is possible than that
achieved with in-motion weighing processes. Additionally, the simplicity
of design and compact package makes Express-System #650 an outstanding
(and economical) alternative to traditional in-line motorized checkweigher
systems.
